The History of Parma City

In 1806, this place was surveyed by the surveyors of Connecticut Land Company. In that period, it was known as “Greenbriar”. A resolution was passed in 1826 that a new time with the name Parma should be developed. This township was incorporated as a village in 1924. It was incorporated as city in 1931. The real growth of this area started after the World War II.
